Amazing Spider-Man’s 1,000th issue arrives soon on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The milestone book contains multiple stories and over two dozen covers by industry icons.

The led story by Joe Kelly and Pepe Larraz will see Spider-Man facing his greatest fear and a frightening new villain. Who is Ravage and how will his power challenge Peter’s legacy?

“Writing Amazing Spider-Man #1000 has stirred up a lot of emotions for me, but gratitude is chief among them,” Kelly said. “It’s a true honor to have the opportunity to contribute to Spidey’s legacy with a huge milestone like this. And special bonus – we get to introduce a new villain?! Amazing. Ravage is layered and complex and mysterious, and I can’t wait to unleash him on the readers with this monumental issue!”

The extra-large issue continues with multiple stories by creators connected to Spidey’s legacy and a few newcomers to the Wall-Crawler. “I Can Never Rest” by Dan Slott and Marcos Martin returns to the night of Uncle Ben’s death and the pivotal moment in Peter Parker’s life. Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen’s “The Gesture” presents a team-up between Spider-Man and the Avengers versus some of Spidey’s worst enemies.

“Tears of the Spider-Queen” by Frank Miller and Peach Momoko puts Spider-Man up against the Hand. In “Still Standing,” an older Peter Parker reflects on his life and has one more adventure, in the story by Noah Hawley and Patrick Gleason.

J.M. DeMatteis and Humberto Ramos’ “Requiem for a Goblin” revisits the events that followed Harry Osborn’s death. Larry Lieber and Giuseppe Camuncoli present a Western style Spider-Man story in “Of Webs and Six-Guns.”

“The Big Night” features a story by WWE Hall of Famer and Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. The issue also includes an interview with actor Tom Holland and Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton.

Amazing Spider-Man #1000 comes with a bevy of covers starting with a main cover by John Romita Jr. and Paolo Rivera, and one by Pepe Larraz. Variants are provided by Romita, Larraz, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Stuart Immonen, Marcos Martin, Peach Momoko and Frank Miller, Humberto Ramos, Mark Bagley, Mr. Garcin, Erik Larsen, Alex Ross, J. Scott Campbell, Ryan Stegman, Skottie Young, Julian Totino Tedesco, and Steve Ditko (one color and one black and white).

There’s also a Web-Head variant by Patrick Gleason, foil by Ed McGuinness, Local Comic Shop by Skan, Amazing Visions by Lee Bermejo, and a four-part connecting legacy by Todd Nauck. A Marvel Studios Spider-Man: Brand New Day variant, Marvel Animation Spider-Man 1967 wraparound variant, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls cover, and The Muppets cover by Paco Medina round out the list of covers.
