Dark Horse and Twentieth Century Fox have partnered on a scary new project, Alien: The Original Screenplay. Adapted from Dan O’Bannon’s screenplay, the comic is written by Cristiano Seixas, with art by Guilherme Balbi and colors by Candice Han.

This miniseries presents an alternate line of events that O’Bannon wrote before it became the Alien movie. While heading back to Earth, the crew of the starship Snark discovers an alien transmission. Upon investigation, they find a desolate planetoid, a crashed alien ship, and a mysterious pyramid structure. Things go fairly wrong after that.

Alien: The Original Screenplay #1 (of 5) goes on sale April 22, 2020, just a few days before Alien Day on April 26.
