Alien Books is heading to New York Comic Con with a special first issue featuring Aric of Dacia. At the show on October 9-12, 2025, they will offer Valiant Beyond: The X-O Manowar #1 with an exclusive foil cover variant by Ariel Olivetti. This edition is limited to 500 copies and will be available only at the IDW Publishing booth #4551 for $20.

“We’re excited to be partnering with IDW Publishing to debut this amazing foil edition of The X-O Manowar #1 at New York Comic Con this year,” Alien Books Director Matias Timarchi said. “We can’t wait to connect with fans and retailers at the show and talk about Valiant Comics, Zorro, and everything else we have planned for 2026!”

Valiant Beyond: The X-O Manowar by Steve Orlando (Avengers Assemble) and illustrated by Guillermo Fajardo (Resurgence of the Valiant Universe) follows Aric as he traverses a desolate land populated by dangerous figures.

“Aric’s strength and resilience are put to the test when he comes to the defense of a family under siege from a mysterious gang known as the Earthborn. Aric finds himself aligned with a rebel group which puts him firmly in the crosshairs of the Earthborn’s leader Typhon. Can Aric survive his journey across the Red Steppe?” per the description.

The first issue has a main cover by Ariel Olivetti, and variant covers by Nahuel Grego, Dennis Calero, and Andres Ponce. It is in stores now.
