The great detective Sherlock Holmes has entered an alternate world to embark on a sci-fi adventure in Sherlock Holmes and the Empire Builders: The Gene Genie. The graphic novel collection features stories originally presented as two graphic novels released by Tripwire Comics Presents.

The collected edition with tales by writer/co-creator Joel Meadows and artist/co-creator Andy Bennett will be available in the spring of 2026 from Tripwire.

“When Watson leaves Holmes to help Crick unravel the DNA helix and finds himself in the employ of England’s most evil man, Holmes is forced to team up with an unlikely group to defeat this monstrous figure and return England to its status quo. But can he defeat the machinations of the man at the rudder of the country?” the synopsis reads.

The collection features a new wraparound cover by Eisner winner Laurence Campbell (BPRD) and comes with an introduction by writer J.M. DeMatteis (Moonshadow). It contains pinups that were in the individual volumes by George Pratt (Enemy Ace: War Idyll), Shawn Martinbrough (Thief of Thieves), John K. Snyder III (Doctor Midnite), Dan Panosian (Batman), and Frazer Irving (2000AD).

Sherlock Holmes and the Empire Builders: The Gene Genie will be available on April 21.
