The Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation is accepting applications of scholarships for comic store owners and employees to attend the ComicsPRO industry meeting on February 18-21, 2026, in Glendale, CA. They will provide four scholarships of up to $1,500 that can be used for travel, lodging, and meals. ComicsPRO will then cover the registration fee for the meeting.

“We are proud to continue our support for comic retailers with this increase in the number of professional development scholarships we provide as well as doubling the amount available to cover increased travel costs,” Binc’s CEO Pam French said. “Providing comic people access to networking and education opportunities is critical to strengthening stores and helping build sustainability.”

Applications are open to stores in the US or US territories with brick and mortar stores who make a substantial amount on comic and book sales, or a mobile or pop-up store open to the public for an average of 30 hours a week. Applicants must be a regular full-time or part-time store owner or employee, and must be employed with 90 days of continuous employment.

“We are thankful that Binc is providing four scholarships for the comic industry meeting,” said Marco Davanzo, executive director of ComicsPRO. “The scholarships will really help those retailers that wouldn’t ordinarily be able to attend. Binc is an amazing organization, helping comic and bookstore owners and employees handle unforeseen emergencies. We are truly blessed to have them supporting the front lines of comics retail.”

The application and all of the criteria can be found online. The application deadline is Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 5 PM ET.
