Dark Horse Books and Square Enix have announced Legend of Mana: The Art of Mana – 30th Anniversary Edition in honor of the roleplaying game’s milestone anniversary. This is the first time the full color art book is being published in English. It will be released in July 2026.

The book will include art that was created for the game’s original release in 1999. It also contains art created exclusively for the book by Yukata Koyama, Shinichi Kamoeka, Masaki Takahashi, HACCAN, and Kanta Kamei.

Legend of Mana is a spinoff of the Mana game series that takes place in a high fantasy world. The hero goes on a quest to revive the land of Fa’Diel by building the world and completing missions to save the Tree of Mana. While it shares similarities with the rest of the roleplaying game series, Legend of Mana gives players the opportunity to create and shape the world. By using the Land Make system, players can create regions and go on quests that use non-linear gameplay instead of following one major plot.

“This 80-page special 30th anniversary edition art book contains Legend of Mana’s vast lands and artifacts, character pixel art, Mystic Cards, boss monster illustrations, and more,” per the synopsis. “Fans can take a deeper look into the materials and illustrations created when the original version of the Legend of Mana game was released, including newly drafted selection screen art, character designs, and background art.”

The Legend of Mana: The Art of Mana – 30th Anniversary Edition hardcover retails for $29.99. It will be in comic shops on July 29.
