The Enterprise landed at New York Comic Con, armed with a new trailer for Starfleet Academy and more details on the fourth season of Strange New Worlds.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is centered around a young group of cadets learning what it means to be Starfleet officers. They experience new friendships, rivalries, and romance, are confronted by difficult instructors, and a new enemy looms over the Federation.

Holly Hunter stars as the Starfleet Academy Chancellor, and cadets are played by Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diane, and Sandro Rosta. The cast also includes Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, and Zoë Steiner, with guest stars including Paul Giamatti, Oded Fehr, Mary Wiseman, and Gina Yashere. The panel also included the news that late night TV host Stephen Colbert will be voicing Starfleet Academy’s Digital Dean of Students.

The first episode is written by Gaia Violo and is directed by Alex Kurtzman. The first two episodes will premiere on Paramount+ on January 15, 2026.

The panel also offered a new look at Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season four. Led by Captain Christopher Pike, the USS Enterprise will explore uncharted worlds, battle new threats, see familiar faces, and meet interesting new characters.

This season will include a special episode that will turn the crew of the USS Enterprise into puppets. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop have created the puppets, and the episode will be directed by Jordan Canning (Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock). It also includes the “A Space Adventure Hour” murder mystery themed episode directed by Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation).

The show stars Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, Christina Chong, Rebecca Romijn, Melissa Navia, Jess Bush, Celia Rose Gooding, Babs Olusanmokun, Paul Wesley, Carol Kane, and Martin Quinn.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season four will stream sometime in 2026. The show is currently in production on the fifth and final season.
