Marvel at NYCC: Wonder Man, Daredevil, More TV News
Marvel returned to New York Comic Con with several big announcements for their live-action and animated TV series. Brad Winderbaum, the Marvel Studios head of Streaming, Television and Animation, led the panel with news and teasers for new and returning shows.
Wonder Man
A Wonder Man trailer debuted at NYCC, introducing Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman) in a show about making a Wonder Man movie. Abdul-Mateen plays Simon Williams, an actor who is determined to be cast in the Wonder Man movie, which is being directed by a well known reclusive filmmaker. The trailer pokes fun at superhero fatigue and how the director will reimagine the genre.
The show revives Ben Kingsley’s character Trevor Slatterly, who was originally introduced as the Mandarin in Iron Man 3 (but was really just an actor playing a terrorist), and is Simon’s competition for the role. It has a lighthearted tone with Simon doing vocal exercises, his agent exasperated by his persistence, and Trevor making fun of his process.
The Wonder Man trailer was the only teaser dropped during the panel that was given an official release. The show streams on January 27, 2026.
Daredevil: Born Again
The panel included plenty of news on Daredevil: Born Again, starting with a trailer that shows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) reconnecting before Matt gets hit by some kind of sonic weapon. The trailer confirmed that Krysten Ritter is back as Jessica Jones, reprising the role she began in Jessica Jones on Netflix. Matthew Lillard is joining the cast as Mr. Charles, a political animal who will be an antagonist for both Wilson Fisk and Daredevil.
The trailer shows that Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) is still walking free, Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) beats the pulp out of a guy in a boxing ring, and Daredevil fights cops in their newly armored uniforms. It revealed that Elden Henson is back as Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), which follows the character’s surprise death in the first season. Daredevil: Born Again will arrive on Disney+ in March 2026, and has already been renewed for a third season.

X-Men ’97
The X-Men ’97 teaser trailer began with a flashback of Apocalypse from X-Men: The Animated Series before catching up with the X-Men, who are spread out across different time periods. Rogue, Beast, Xavier, Magneto, and Nightcrawler are in Ancient Egypt; Jean Grey and Cyclops are far in the future; and Wolverine and Morph are in the show’s present in the ‘90s with Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike.
This portion of the panel included the announcement that Eric Lewald and Julia Lewald, who were among the creators of the original X-Men: The Animated Series, are now executive producers on the new series. X-Men ’97 season two will be out in the summer of 2026 and the show will get a third season.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will be back with season two in the fall of 2026. This season will explore the histories of the characters, particularly that of lead character Peter Parker, which causes tension in the cast.
The panel audience was treated to a teaser that reveals the Venom symbiote while Spider-Man is investigating at Oscorp. The trailer featured the debut of Gwen Stacy, Nico Minoru practices magic, and it showed villains like Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, and Scorpion. It also has a confrontation with Spidey, Blindspot, and Daredevil – the latter of which is voiced by Charlie Cox.

VisionQuest
The VisionQuest series is set mostly in the head of White Vision (Paul Bettany) as he talks to human versions of the AI’s that have appeared in the MCU. This includes James D’Arcy as Jarvis, Orla Brady as Friday, Emily Hampshire as Edith, Henry Lewis as Dume, and Ultron with James Spader returning to play the Avengers: Age of Ultron villain as a person.
A teaser trailer was shown at NYCC, following White Vision as he enters a mansion and meets the human versions of those programs. It also revealed a young adult version of Tommy (Ruaridh Mollica), Vision and Wanda’s son who was introduced in WandaVision. The series is scheduled for some time in 2026.
