Skin Police 2 #2
Oni; $4.99
Agents Eckis and Corfer and their team have finally gotten reliable intel on the leaders of the Pro-Dupe League. As one mission concludes, Eckis’ work and homelife intertwine when his family is put in danger. As if that wasn’t enough, the agency has learned that there is a traitor in their ranks.
A lot is packed into Skin Police 2 #2 by writer Jordan Thomas. Eckis is already starting to question the powers behind the Duplicate Identification and Capture Division, and the situation becomes more muddled in this issue. His opinion of Dupes hasn’t changed, resulting in drastic action in this issue and a set up for a major confrontation in the future.
Artist Daniel Gete and colorist Jason Wordie were on their A-game in this one, which starts with an emotional few pages sans dialogue. Each panel is well utilized to move the story forward as they show the fight scenes, tense conversations, and foreboding atmosphere.
The messy situation is getting even more complicated in the second installment of Skin Police.
