The Addiction: The Touch #1 to Debut at NYCC
The next installment of The Addiction comic will premiere at New York Comic Con on October 9-12, 2025. The Addiction: The Touch #1, plus creator signings, giveaways, limited edition con variants, and premium licensed VeVe Digital Collectibles and Comics will be available at booth #3537. Co-creators David Quinn (Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme) and Vincent Zurzolo (president of Metropolis/ComicConnect) will attend the show with limited edition copies of the sequel story.
The Addiction stars Dr. Niki Tino, a woman with the power to drug people with her touch. She lives in a time plagued by addiction, crime cartels, and over the top villains, and uses her power to cure or kill those she encounters.
“Two years ago, NYCC fans helped make the launch of our first series one of the show’s indie hits, buying over 17,500 physical and digital copies of The Addiction #1 NYCC Premiere,” Zurzolo said. “We are comic fans ourselves and always try to make New York Comic Con the comic arts celebration of the year. We can’t wait to share this book with you, so come by booth #3537 and make it happen with us!”
The Addiction: The Touch #1 takes Niki into even darker places where she tries to help others recover and is confronted by more dark forces. The book features the introduction of new villains, the Fever and Chronic.
“Our first chapter, ‘Welcome to the Dancing Plague,’ dramatizes breakthroughs and setbacks as Niki and Enzo endeavor to grow together as partners – both in life and in the war on drugs,” Quinn said. “There are also new insane villains to keep them in jeopardy and constantly guessing. And for readers hungry for a life-changing confrontation between Niki and Cartel Boss Como Cattivo and her origin – the night Dr. Tino earned a second chance on life as The Addiction? That crisis and climax begins here!”
The Addiction: The Touch #1 is illustrated by Claudia Balboni with colors by Brad Simpson, and letters by Dave Sharpe. It features variant covers by Simone Bianchi, David Finch, and Tim Vigil.
A comic shop edition of The Addiction three-issue series will be available in 2026.
