Oni Press and William M. Gaines Agent, Inc. are presenting the first in-depth look at Outlaw Showdown #1. The book is the first a new series of giant-sized genre specials from EC Comics that starts in October 2025.

The series begins with tales of gunfighters, bandits, and other Old West archetypes by creators like Christopher Cantwell (Out of Alcatraz), David Lapham (Stray Bullets), Tony Moore (The Walking Dead), and Ann Nocenti (Daredevil).

It starts with “Cool Cool Water” by John Arcudi (B.P.R.D.) and artist Sebastián Cabrol (The Seasons Have Teeth). The book contains a bonus newly remastered and restored Old West story from the EC vaults by Harvey Kurtzman (Two-Fisted Tales) and Jack Davis (Tales from the Crypt).

Outlaw Showdown #1 features cover A by Lee Bermejo (Joker), cover B by Moore, cover C by Ladrönn (Cable), an EC homage variant (1:10) by Shawn McManus (Fables), an archive edition variant (1:50) by Rian Hughes (The Multiversity), and a black and white artist edition variant (1:20) by Moore. The book arrives in comic shops in October 22.
