ComicConnect’s Event Auction 63 is closing soon on September 14-18, 2025, featuring original comic artvintage comics, and a selection of Superman lots.

That includes the rare Superman: The Man of Tomorrow booklet from 1939, boasting one of the earliest references to the nickname. Created around the same time as Action Comics #7, “Superman: The Man of Tomorrow” was developed as a tool to promote the daily Superman comic strip, and has Superman work by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster that predates Action Comics #1.

Event Auction 63 has a Superman #1 restored 9.4 from the True North Collection, sporting preservation by Matt and Emily Myers. There’s also a selection of single pages from Action Comics #1 like the first page of Superman’s first story and the panel where Lois Lane first meets Superman.

Superman highlights continue with Action Comics #13 and #14 7.0 with Joe Shuster’s chain-shattering Superman that became the first comic pin-up in Superman #1. The auction contains Action Comics #52 restored 9.2 with the first appearance of the Prankster, and foreign titles include Superman #1 from Egypt and Bangladesh.

Event Auction 63 includes Curt Swan’s Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane #105 Death Row cover, Nick Cardy’s Superman Family #10 cover with wild images of Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, and Superbaby, Murphy Anderson’s DC Comics Presents #8 page of Superman, Swamp Thing, and Solomon Grundy, and DC’s Just Imagine… with John Buscema and Stan Lee creating their own Superman.
