The Gargoyles & Fantastic Four Team Up begins in November
Two very different families who protect New York City will meet in a new comic crossover. The Gargoyles/Fantastic Four pairs the popular Disney animated characters with Marvel’s First Family. The book is written by Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman and illustrated by George Kambadais.
The Manhattan Clan are taking a tour of the famous Baxter Building, aka the headquarters of the Fantastic Four, when something goes wrong. Androids Coldsteel and Dragon Man team up to bring forth the conqueror Annihilus, and Franklin, Valeria, and Gnash become trapped in the Negative Zone.
“Extended family members from each mythos will unite their heroic efforts in an all-out mission to save their children, their shared city, and the world from utter destruction,” per the description. “Fans will get to see thousand-year-old stone guardians and cosmic rays-stricken heroes alike fight in the first-ever major crossover for the Gargoyles franchise.”
“What could be better for Gargoyles’ first crossover than having them meet the first family of the Marvel Universe?” Weisman said. “Gotta love shared values and supervillains. Plus, Mole Man!”
Gargoyles/Fantastic Four will feature 30 story pages, and covers provided by Amanda Conner, Mark Bagley, Lucio Parrillo, Declan Shalvey, and Nicoletta Baldari. It will debut in comic shops on November 2025
