At San Diego Comic-Con, Skybound and Image with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing announced The Amazing Spider-Man By Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition. It is the first in a multi-book deal with Marvel Comics and will arrive in May 2026.

“Steve Ditko, the co-creator of Spider-Man, was one of the most important and innovative creators in the Marvel Universe,” Dunbier said. “His unique drawing style, coupled with an inventive sense of design, helped make Spider-Man one of the most beloved heroes in the world!”

The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition contains some of his most iconic work, including Amazing Fantasy #15 and Amazing Spider-Man #33. Dozens of splash pages, story pages, covers, and never before seen images from the 1960s are also in the book. Every page is scanned from original art and the book is a large scale 15” x 22” size.

The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition will be in comic book stores on May 6, 2026.

This book is one of many upcoming titles from the partnership between Act 4 Publishing and Skybound. Other titles include Jim Aparo’s DC Classics Artist’s Edition in late 2025, and Darwyn Cooke’s The Complete Spirit Connoisseur Edition, Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition- EXPANDED, and Mike Mignola’s Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition in 2026.

Future projects also include J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl Artist Edition, Dave Stevens’ Covers and Stories’ Connoisseur Edition, Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, and Paul Smith’s Leave It to Chance Artist’s Edition.
