Time for One Last Fight in Stranger Things Season 5 Teaser
A rift has been opened in Hawkins, Indiana, and the gateway to the Upside Down has never been more vulnerable. Netflix has dropped a new teaser trailer for Stranger Things season five, previewing the last showdown between our heroes and the monsters below.
Season five begins roughly a year and a half after season four in the fall of 1987, marking the biggest time jump between seasons. It will likely set up how life in Hawkins has changed and perhaps how the rest of the world is reacting to the opening between worlds.
The teaser starts with shots of the group waiting in anticipation for the commencing of a “burn.” We see Will (Noah Schnapp) getting the familiar goosebumps on his neck, the military arriving in Hawkins, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) visits Eddie Munson’s grave, and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) sits by a comatose Max (Sadie Sink). Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Steve (Joe Keery), and Dustin head back into the Upside Down.
Linda Hamilton is introduced as Dr. Kay, and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Hopper (David Harbour) face a giant vine wall while (in voiceover) Hopper says, “Wherever this blood leads, I need you to fight one last time.” The trailer shows Demadogs and Demogorgons, then ends with Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) looking on in horror as Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) arrives.
Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, Amybeth McNulty, and Nell Fisher are also back for season five.
The eight-episode final season is split into three parts. Volume 1 will drop on November 26, 2025 (the day before Thanksgiving), followed by Volume 2 on Christmas, and the finale arrives on New Year’s Eve.
