Get ready for some exciting crimefighting action with David Hasselhoff and one of the coolest cars of the 1980s. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that the complete Knight Rider TV series on 4K Blu-ray is now open for preorders.

Knight Rider was a crime drama created and produced by Glen A. Larson that introduced viewers to the team of a man and his car. The show began when billionaire Wilton Knight chose Detective Lieutenant Michael Long (Hasselhoff) – who would become Michael Knight – as the main field agent for his new security agency, The Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG).

The other important component of the new program was the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT), a technologically advanced car. The 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was a self-driving machine with a computer system that could speak (voiced by William Daniels) and helped Michael fight crime.

The 4K Blu-ray is loaded with special features. The Knight Rider: Behind the Wheel one hour documentary with interviews and content on the stunts, the technology, and how the show became such a big hit. Additional special features include behind the scenes interviews, commentary by Hasselhoff, the Knighter Rider 2000 TV movie, and more.

The Knight Rider 4K Blu-ray box set will race its way to purchasers on July 22, 2025.
