Actor Julian McMahon, who starred in Nip/Tuck and Fantastic Four, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, after a battle with cancer. He was 56 years old.

McMahon played the vain, womanizing plastic surgeon Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck, which aired from 2003 to 2010. In 2005, he took on the role of Marvel villain Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four, and reprised the role for the 2007 sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. He spent three seasons on Charmed as a half-human/half-demon who married Phoebe.

He was born on July 27, 1968, in Sydney, Australia, to former Prime Minister William McMahon and Lady Sonia McMahon. His acting career began in Australian soap operas like The Power, the Passion and Home and Away, before jumping to the US for Another World. He played Detective John Grant in Profiler, and was in Premonition, Prisoner, and Red.

McMahon starred in Fire with Fire, Paranoia, he appeared in Dirk Gentley’s Holistic Detective Agency, and played Jonah in Runaways. He played FBI supervisor Jess LaCroix in FBI: Most Wanted and connected FBI shows, and his last role was in the miniseries, The Residence.
