Emanuel “Mac” Raboy began his comic book career in 1940 working for the Harry A Chesler studio, which was known for completing work for a variety of comic publishers. He also notably used his artistic talents at Fawcett Publications on many of the company’s classic titles including Captain Marvel, Jr., Captain Midnight, and Master Comics.
His art carries a classic feel that can be easily identified by his use of composition and perspective. Raboy later left Fawcett in 1944 and used his abilities on the comic book Green Lama. From 1948 until his death in 1967, Mac Raboy worked as the illustrator on the Flash Gordon comic strip for King Features Syndicate.
