
Propstore to Auction Planet Hollywood Collection
Propstore has partnered with Planet Hollywood to auction 400 items from the restaurant chain’s collection of original props, costumes, and display items. Many of the pieces were displayed at Planet Hollywood restaurants around the world and some haven’t been seen in decades. The auction is now open for bidding online and closes on June 11, 2025.
Featured items in the auction are Back to the Future trilogy Lou’s Café letterhead with production made Grays Sports Almanac cover and Hill Valley Telegraph newspaper, Close Encounters of the Third Kind alien mask with functional eye mechanisms, Coneheads mask, F/X: The Series special effects Rollie Tyler (Cameron Daddo) animatronic head, and Flight of the Intruder Commander Frank “Dooke” Camparelli’s (Danny Glover) screen-matched flight helmet.
The Flintstones Barney Rubble’s (Rick Moranis) screen-matched crash helmet, Ghostbusters collection of car and street sign model miniatures and New York building façade model miniature, Gremlins Chris Walas-made German puppet replica from original molds, Hot Shots Dominic “Mailman” Farnham’s (Ryan Stiles) screen-matched antler-stylized distressed flight helmet, and Kingpin Roy Munson’s (Woody Harrelson) production made fedora are offered.
More highlights are the Lost in Space screen-matched 12’ Jupiter II filming model, The Shawshank Redemption Ellis Boyd “Red” Redding’s (Morgan Freeman) production made prison shirt, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III Raphael paint test bust, Terminator 2: Judgment Day full-size battle-damaged Stan Winston Studio Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) statue display, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Judge Doom’s (Christopher Lloyd) sword cane.
