Calafiore, Cloonan, More Added to Baltimore Comic-Con
Baltimore Comic-Con has announced a new round of guests who will be appearing at the convention on October 17-19, 2025. The latest additions are Jim Calafiore, Becky Cloonan, Michael W. Conrad, Mark Morales, Amy Reeder, and Rich Woodall.
In 30-plus years working in comics, Calafiore has spent extended time at Valiant, DC, and Marvel, notably on Aquaman, Exiles, Gotham Underground, Red Lanterns, various Batman books, Deadpool, and Black Panther. After a run on Secret Six with Gail Simone, they reunited for their creator-owned Leaving Megalopolis. He is currently working on the supernatural comedy NED, Lord of the Pit.
Cloonan began her career making mini-comics as part of the Meathaus collective. Since then, she’s gone on to write and draw on titles like Dark Agnes, Conan the Barbarian, The Punisher, True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, Gotham Academy, Detective Comics, and Batman, and working on creator-owned books like Southern Cross and the critically acclaimed collection of short stories, By Chance or Providence. She also illustrates album art, and gig and movie posters for My Chemical Romance, Black Sabbath, Adult Swim, and Mondo.
Conrad has written for many well known characters like Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Godzilla, Nightwing, Doom Patrol, and others. He has also explored the absurd and surreal in books like Tremor Dose and Double Walker. He is currently working on several creator owned projects.
Morales has worked mostly as an inker for Image, Dark Horse, Chaos, DC, and Marvel. His art has been in Thor, Daredevil, Batman, X-Men, Avengers vs. X-Men, Spider-Man/Deadpool, and Astonishing X-Men. More recently, he has worked on Heroes Reborn and Star Wars: The High Republic.
Across her career, Reeder has provided cover work on Supergirl, Ironheart, and Hit-Girl, interiors on Madame Xanadu and Batwoman, designed and illustrated the high-flying Image series Rocket Girl, and co-creating Moon Girl for the all-ages Marvel hit Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. Reeder combines art and writing in the Amethyst series, and is drawing covers for DC and Marvel.
Woodall is the co-publisher of Black Caravan, a Scout Comics Imprint. He co-created The Electric Black, Gods of Brutality, Kyrra: Alien Jungle Girl, and provided covers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Last Ronin, The Powerpuff Girls, and Masters of the Universe.
“Our guests being announced this week skew heavily towards Ringo Awards ties,” Baltimore Comic-Con show promoter Marc Nathan said. “We’ve got some amazingly talented people in this line-up, who have (or continue to) work on some of the best comics out there. We can’t wait for to meet them this October! Oh, and have you submitted your Ringo Awards nominations yet this year? Go to ringoawards.com to vote today!”
