One-Sheets, International Posters in eMoviePoster Auction
eMoviePoster’s Sunday biweekly auction contains 460 folded one-sheets and 740 Australian, German, Russian, French, Mexican, and other non-U.S. posters and lobby cards. The auction is open for bidding now through Sunday, January 26, 2020.
One-sheets include Winners of the West chapter 14, The Mummy, Star Wars style A international first printing, Indianapolis Speedway, Jaws, Empire Strikes Back style A international and NSS style advance teaser, Planet of the Apes, Giant Behemoth, Once Upon a Wintertime, 2001: A Space Odyssey style A 70mm version, Reptilicus, Carmen Jones, and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service style B international.
Other one-sheet highlights are Black Sunday, Fort Apache, Reefer Madness 1970s rerelease, Fiend without a Face, Pit & the Pendulum, Live & Let Die east Hemi, The Thing, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Giant Gila Monster, Bambi 1948 rerelease, Nocturne, Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Daughter of Don Q, Pepper Pot Novelty, Friday the 13th, and Commando Cody chapter two.
Australian daybills are Day the Earth Stood Still, Laura, Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy, and Hard Day’s Night, plus a Searchers three-sheet, and one-sheets of Birds, Christmas Story, and Funny Face.
A few other international examples are an English View to a Kill recalled one-sheet and Mexican La Bestia Magnifica poster.
Three surprising results from the auction that closed on January 21 were a Star Wars special 1976 poster for $3,340, Star Wars style C one-sheet for $1,850, and a Jaws one-sheet for $1,800.
eMoviePoster doesn’t just auction U.S. and international movie posters.
