Marvel, ReedPOP Launch Marvel Made Collectibles
Marvel and ReedPOP, the convention runners behind New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, C2E2, and Emerald City Comic Con, are partnering on Marvel Made, a new line of prestige collectibles. The collectibles start with an inaugural pin set and collector’s notebook bundle with art by Skottie Young.
The Skottie Young Premier Bundle includes a limited edition base set of 10 enamel pins of Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Deadpool, Loki, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Gwen, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, and Wolverine. There are five bundle exclusive enamel pins of Carnage, Hulk, Thor, advanced suit Spider-Man, and Jean Grey. It also includes an oversized hardcover notebook with facsimile art board sketch pages and a cover with an original illustration of the advanced suit Spider-Man. There’s also an exclusive variant cover of Excalibur #1 by Young.
The Marvel Made products will be available on a limited time basis and can be ordered as limited runs, flash sales, and preorders. A total of 2,500 units have been created, retailing for $199.
Marvel Made Blind Boxes are available for $30 and come with two random limited edition enamel pins from Young’s base set. Marvel Made product purchases come with an exclusive variant comic by Marvel artists. The first 1,000 purchasers will also get a sketch version of the same cover.
“Going back to its roots with Stan Lee, Marvel has always had a direct connection with its fans,” Dan Buckley, President of Marvel Entertainment, said. “Marvel Made continues that tradition by providing all True Believers with exciting and truly unique high-end collectibles that could only be created by the House of Ideas.”
“Over the years, Marvel fans have gotten more and more excited to collect the high-end exclusive merchandise we offer at conventions, festivals, and other special events, and we’ve received more requests than ever from our diehard fans for more ways to celebrate the Marvel Universe,” Mike Pasciullo, VP, Marvel Marketing & Communications, said. “Marvel Made is the next step in the evolution of our convention merchandise, which will expand that sense of community and deepen our relationship with fans – all while offering the same level of quality and exclusivity our fans know and love. We can’t wait to unveil the rest of these items in the coming months.”
