CGC Signings with Shameik Moore, Marat Mychaels
CGC and ACE Comic Con are hosting an in-house private signing with Shameik Moore, voice of Miles Morales in the Academy Award winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Moore, who is also known for Dope, The Get Down, and Wu-Tang: An American Saga, is doing his first public signing. Along with the autographs, fans can get an inscription or quote on their collectibles.
“We have had a long and successful relationship with CGC dating back to 1997,” Stephen Shamus, President ACE Comic Con, said. “We are excited to launch this new program with in-house signings and hope to bring more of these to the fans in the future! For right now, this is the best and only way to get the highest quality collectibles to Ultimate Spider-Man fans worldwide!”
CGC is also hosting comic book artist and creator Marat Mychaels. His career began at Image Comics working alongside Rob Liefeld on projects like Brigade. He also worked on Marvel and DC books such as Deadpool Corps, X-Force: Shatterstar, Hawk and Dove, and Grifter. Mychaels has created variant covers for Deadpool, Lady Death, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He’s currently working on his own publishing company, Counterpoint Comics on books like Do You Pooh?, Hardlee Thinn, Tiggomverse, and Notti & Nyce.
“Hey comic fans, I have to say I am really missing the personal interactions with you all at comic cons!” Mychaels said. “But this private signing opportunity with CGC is a great way for me to sign your books and for you to get your signings done safely. Until we can meet again in person, stay safe and I look forward to seeing what you send in!”
For this private signing, both free and paid CGC members can submit collectibles directly to the CGC headquarters in Florida. CGC will coordinate with Moore to have collectibles signed in early September and coordinate with Mychaels to have items signed in mid-September. If the signings need to be rescheduled due to travel restrictions, CGC will securely store the submissions in their vault until the events are rescheduled.
After items are signed, CGC will grade them with expedited turnaround of three weeks for grading or six weeks for grading and pressing. Then collectibles will be shipped back to the owners.
Moore’s signing fee is $125 per item. This includes the expedited turnaround times and encapsulation with CGC’s yellow Signature Series label. His fee for signing and two-word inscription is $165, signing and six-word quote is $190, and a quote and inscription is $230.
Mychaels’ signature fee is $60 per item. This includes the expedited turnaround times and encapsulation with CGC’s yellow Signature Series label. His remarque fee is $110. There are 100 spots available on a first come, first served basis.
CGC must receive all submissions at their Florida headquarters by Monday, August 24, 2020.
