Image/Skybound Entertainment has announced that a series of six connecting variant covers by Charlie Adlard will be featured on the first story arc of The Walking Dead Deluxe full color editions. The popular zombie apocalypse comic created by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard is being reissued starting in October and is fully colored by Dave McCaig.

A variety of other variants will accompany the deluxe editions, including covers by David Finch, Tony Moore, Julian Totino Tedesco, and Arthur Adams. These will commemorate the major character introductions and important moments throughout the series. Each issue will also come with a new installment of “The Cutting Room Floor” with Kirkman’s original handwritten plots, commentary on abandoned storylines, and plot points that may have changed along the way. 

The Walking Dead Deluxe #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
