An early Silver Surfer key and the first appearance of Doctor Octopus are featured in Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comics, Animation & Art Weekly Online Auction. The comics close on May 9, followed by everything else on May 10.

The Silver Surfer #4 CGC 6.5 includes appearances by Thor, Loki, Hulk, Thing, Odin, Hercules, and Zeus, as well as a “Tales of the Watcher” backup story. Overstreet notes this issue’s lower distribution numbers than other books in the series. It features a cover and art by John and Sal Buscema, with additional art by Paul Reinman.

The origin and first appearance of Doctor Octopus, one of Spider-Man’s most notorious villains, is in The Amazing Spider-Man #3 CGC 7.5. The issue includes a Human Torch appearance, a cover and art by Steve Ditko, and a Spider-Man pin-up page. It is currently ranked No. 34 on Overstreet’s Top 50 Silver Age Comics list.
