Daredevil #1, Early Green Lantern in Heritage Weekly

In the next Sunday & Monday Comic Books Select Auction, Heritage is selling the first appearance of Daredevil and an early issue of Green Lantern. Comics in the auction close on November 21, 2021, followed by all other lots on November 22.

Daredevil #1 Trimmed CGC Apparent 8.0 features the origin and first appearance of Daredevil, the Man Without Fear and The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. The issue also includes the first appearances of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. Bill Everett provided the art and teamed up with Jack Kirby on the cover of the issue. The offered copy includes CGC notes that declare “Top edge trimmed.”

Green Lantern #7 CGC 6.5 contains a story about Alan Scott and Doiby Dickles getting discharged from the Army, just in time to begin the search for the mysterious time traveler. The issue includes a notorious “robot cover” and art by Martin Nodell. According to the November 2021 CGC census, the offered copy of is one of just four copies known to carry a grade of 6.5, and there are just 11 known to carry a higher grade.
