Marvel Comics; $2.99

With Thor still presently off stage in the
Marvel universe, writer Frank Tieri (Wolverine), pencil artist Mark
Texeira (Moon Knight), and inker Jimmy Palmiotti (The New West)
unleash a new take on the demi-god from that other mythological pantheon,
Hercules. It’s not the goofy humor of the Bob Layton mini-series or graphic
novel, and it’s not the raving brute of days gone by. Instead, just maybe, it’s
a slightly nuanced take on the guy. We’re looking forward to the next
issue.
