I look forward, as always, to the new media interpretation of the popular
comic book character Blade. Let’s face it – we’ve enjoyed Mr. Snipes’ take on
Blade, but it’s time for another actor to have a shot at it. No one will ever be
able to duplicate or eradicate the image he provided for three successful
films.

My only hope is the production values for the TV series are done in a
thoughtful and creative manner, and not some pitiful hack job thrown together to
simply capitalize on the charter’s movie success. That would indeed be
tragic.

Here’s hoping!

Comic Book Historian

A newcomer should play the part of Blade. There must be plenty of relative
unknown, semi decent looking black guys itching for the chance at a part like
this. Nationwide search, press coverage, easy publicity for generating
tremendous interest in the show before it airs. There are many ways to garner
media hype and national attention.
