Was Cooter Right?
Original Dukes of Hazzard TV series co-star Ben Jones (aka Cooter)
has been quite vocal in expressing his distaste for last Friday’s opener (and
No. 1 box office take). One Scoop reader joins him in his
protest:

Okay, there was really only one reason for me to go see this movie,
and that was Lynda Carter. I am a huge Wonder-Woman fan, after all, and just the
thought of the first woman to bring my favorite DC superheroine to life starring
in two movies this summer (Sky-High being the other) was enough to send
me to the hospital with a coronary. All I can say about this film is that
ACCURATE casting is part of the recipe when remaking a film, and this movie did
not accurately cast any of the characters except Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse.
Jessica Simpson…ummm, I won’t even go there. Since when is Boss Hogg thin, I’d
like to know. Hence the last name HOGG? I do not recommend this film unless you
have a really good imagination and can pretend this is really a remake of Wonder
Woman starring a still youthful looking Lynda Carter.
