Bill Hughes Makes Notable Sales at The National

Scoop has learned that dealer Bill Hughes made several significant
sales at The National Sports Collectors Show held in Chicago recently. One of
the sales was a 1940 Ted Williams jersey for $50,000. The jersey was worn by
Williams during the 1940 season and was in excellent condition. Another
noteworthy transaction was the sale of a 1951 Bowman baseball card sheet that
featured the Mickey Mantle rookie card. “The 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle Rookie
card sheet was sold for just under $100,000,” remarked Hughes.
