Congratulations to Little Lulu. She’s been adopted.

Our friend
Maggie Thompson, the highly respected editor of Comics Buyer’s Guide, bid
$8,000 (plus 15% buyer’s premium) in the current Heritage auction to win this
historic piece (the remaining parts of the auction end tonight and tomorrow at
www.heritagecomics.com).

Marjorie Henderson Buell created the single-panel cartoon that grew into
a virtual industry of comic strips, comic books, spin-offs, cartoons and
collectibles for the Saturday Evening Post in 1935.
