Elvis In Atlantic City With It’s Only Rock N Roll
display at Atlantic City’s premiere antique show on March 25 & 26 at the
Convention center in booth #2355. The company ItsOnlyRocknRoll.com will be
previewing items from their Spring rock n roll, music and entertainment auction.
Among them, an entire collection of Elvis Presley Enterprises including the
elusive 1956 board game, perfume, lipstick, sneakers in original box, overnight
bags, purse and very rare 1957 doll, valued at over $5000.
“Fifty years
ago, Hank Saperstein, the man responsible for putting those little giveaways in
cereal boxes made a deal with Colonel Parker (Elvis’ manager) to create the
massive merchandising that became Elvis Presley Enterprise.” said
Itsonlyrocknroll.com president Marc Zakarin .”Like Valentino, Clara Bow, and
Mickey Mouse, Elvis had the elements necessary to sell.”
The exhibit
will preview items from the upcoming online and catalog auction. Highlights also
include a receipt signed by the original FIVE Beatles – John, Paul, George, Pete
Best and Stuart Sutcliffe. The few of these that exist have sold for over
$30,000. Also included is John Lennon’s Ivor Novello award (UK version of the
Grammy) for “She’s Leaving Home”, as well as an extraordinary early Bill
Robinson (Mr. Bojangles) appearance poster, an Ike & Tina Turner Revue
poster and a 1964 and 1965 Rolling Stones concert poster plus part 2 of the
David Gest Poster Collection.
