The Rarest Overstreet Hard Cover
among the many non-superhero covers featured over the years on The Overstreet
Comic Book Price Guide. For years being featured on the cover of the
Guide has been a mark of distinction for characters and creators alike,
but did you know the rarest hard cover edition in the books history occurred
just last year?
Although the superhero covers, such as the upcoming Thor
and Wonder Woman covers on The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #36,
continue to dominate sales, Gemstone’s President and Chief Executive Officer
Steve Geppi has steadfastly maintained his support of non-superhero collectors.
In recent times Archie (2002), Donald Duck (2004) and Little Lulu (2005) have
all been spotlighted on the cover.
It was the Little Lulu hard cover
edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #35, that proved to be
the rarest ever. While the Iron Man edition, which recreated Tales of
Suspense #39, sold the usual thousands, less than 1,200 copies of the Little
Lulu hard cover were printed… and they sold out the first day of their
release.
So, if you’ve gone looking for that edition and haven’t had much
luck, now you know why!
