Second Wave: War of the Worlds #2
It’s tough when an indy book moves from color
to black and white because that in and of itself sometimes chases readers away.
If that’s the case with this one, that would be all the more unfortunate because
the creators (writer Michael Alan Nelson and artist Chee) are delivering a very
taught, compelling read. Luckily, it looks beautiful in black and white…and
that actually plays very effectively with a good portion of this issue’s story,
particularly the ending.
