FCBD: Cho, Runton Headline at CC&C

For Free Comic Book Day, Cards Comics & Collectibles in Reisterstown,
Maryland will host Owly creator Andy Runton, Astounding Space Thrills
creator and Escapist artist Steve Conley, New Avengers artist
and Liberty Meadows creator Frank Cho, Buzzboy creator John
Gallagher and Gemstone Publishing’s J.C. Vaughn, who also co-writes 24
and Shi.

The signing will run during the store’s regular
hours, 11 AM to 7 PM. Cho will be on hand 4 PM to 6 PM and Gallagher will sign
from 11 AM to 12:30PM (before heading to another signing at Captain Blue Hen
Comics in Newark, Delaware).

Marc Nathan, owner of the store and promoter of the Baltimore Comic- Con,
on Baltimore’s Fox affiliate, WBFF FOX 45, during their morning news to promote
FCBD. He was joined by Gallagher, and they discussed FCBD and showed samples of
the free comics.
John Gallagher did a sketch of Fox 45’s weatherman, Steve Fertig, in an
American Idol motif, which tied to an earlier segment in the
broadcast.

In addition to free comics, cards and action figures, the
store is having a sale (all back issues in the bins are $1).
