Geppi Honored by Maryland Chamber

This past Wednesday night, May 3, 2006, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce
inducted a group they called “three outstanding business leaders”
into the Maryland Business Hall of Fame. Diamond Comic Distributors President
and CEO Steve Geppi joined Lion Brothers Co., Inc. CEO Susan J. Ganz and MedStar
Health CEO John P. McDaniel in being inducted during the Chamber’s annual
meeting and Business Hall of Fame Awards Dinner at the Baltimore Marriott
Waterfront Hotel.

“This year’s honorees represent Maryland business at
its finest. Their leadership abilities and commitment to excellence have helped
guide their companies to success and contributed to the prestige of Maryland’s
business community,” Chamber Chairman Terry Neimeyer, PE, Chairman,
President and CEO of KCI Technologies, Inc. said in a press release. “The
Maryland Chamber is pleased to honor them by inducting them into the Maryland
Business Hall of Fame.”

Born in the “Little Italy” section of
Baltimore, Geppi was honored for his rise to the pinnacle of the comic book
distribution business. Diamond Comic Distributors is the world’s largest
distributor of English-language comics serving as the exclusive distributor for
many of the comic industry’s leading publishers including DC Comics, Marvel
Comics, Dark Horse Comics and Image Comics.
