Conan is a Cut Above

The axe-wielding Conan the Avenger slices its way into your local comics
shop this week in a new fully-painted resin bust from Dark Horse
Deluxe.

Sculpted by Tony Cipriano, Conan the Avenger is the fourth
release in Dark Horse’s line of busts based on characters from creator Robert E.
Howard’s Conan mythos. Inspired by the artwork of legendary fantasy artist Frank
Frazetta, Conan the Avenger is available in a limited edition of
2,500.

Previous releases in the line were Conan the Slayer, Conan the
Conqueror, and Valeria, the female adventurer from Howard’s epic Conan tale
“Red Nails.” Coming later this year is a bust of the Cimmerian
barbarian’s arch-enemy, the evil wizard Thoth-Amon.

Dark Horse, which
currently publishes the officially-licensed Conan comic book series, also
previously produced a four-piece PVC figurine set based on the Conan adventure
“The Frost Giant’s Daughter.”
