A college classmate (and now mortal
enemy) of Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four, Victor’s face was scarred when a
campus lab experiment using a melding of science and magic went wrong.
Egotistically refusing to heed a warning by Richards, who questioned von Doom’s
calculations, von Doom proceeded with the experiment, with disastrous
consequences. Blaming Richards for the accident rather than accept the
possibility of his own error, Victor swore vengeance, then disappeared,
resurfacing many years later as the FF’s armored adversary.
Doctor Doom
sits upon his ornately carved throne and contemplates his next move in this
“Marvel Milestones” release from Diamond Select. Sculpted by the
dubiously-named Alterton Bizarre, the megamaniacal monarch is presented here in
a massive 1:6 scale and produced in a limited edition of 2,500 pieces.
