Truth, justice, and the American way…
(September – October 1943) hits three-dimensions as the second release in DC
Direct’s “Superman: Cover to Cover” statue line.
As with all
pieces in the line, the Superman #24 statue may stand alone, or be
displayed in before the reverse side of the box, which is illustrated with a
figure-deleted rendition of the original cover art.
Produced in a
very-limited edition of only 1,700 pieces, Superman #24 was sculpted by
Tony Cipriano.
Recreating iconic covers from throughout the Man of
Steel’s nearly 70-year history, “Superman: Cover to Cover”
represents a veritable who’s who of artists who have participated in the
Kryptonian’s visual evolution. Next up on the schedule is Gil Kane’s cover for
1983’s Superman Special #1, followed by Wayne Boring’s cover for popular
origin issue Superman #53.
