Mickey Mouse Magazine Promotional
that ran for a total of six years and sixty issues. Each issue of Mickey
Mouse Magazine featured comics, games, puzzles, articles, and wonderful
advertising for Disney related clothing and merchandise. The magazines and their
contents are prized by collectors for their contents and collectors equally
prize the promotional items and mailer used in conjunction with the
publication.
This week we feature a promotional mailing from November of
1937 which offered children a one year subscription for the sold of $1.00. The
subscription started with the Christmas Holiday issue and a Mickey Mouse Gift
card to the child, and also a Mickey Mouse Mystery Art set which would reach the
child by Christmas. One can only imagine what any young child must of thought
receiving not only a subscription to Mickey Mouse Magazine, but also
receiving the Mickey Mouse Mystery Art set.
Scoop would like to
thank our friend vintage Disney collector Ed Bergin for supplying us with images
of these items.
