The international market for collectibles is as strong its American
counterpart. The popularity of comics, art, movie memorabilia and toys knows no
boundaries and the great success of the recent Vault Auction in England drives
that point home.

Original art was extremely strong. Steve Ditko’s art
for Amazing Spider-Man #6, page 5 went for $9,720. Another page by Ditko,
form Amazing Spider-Man #37 page 19, realized $8,010. From Fantastic
Four
#3, page 4 by Jack Kirby sold for $7,304.40. A complete story from
Saddle Romance #10, by Harry Harrison and Wally Wood, sold for $2,926.80.
Other pages for Thor, Conan and Daredevil brought top dollar.

Vault Auctions has been expanding their offerings with every sale.
As a result, they are also attracting more and more customers from not only the
European Continent, but around the world. Highlights form their recent auction
include $6,211.80 for a one-sheet from the film The Day the Earth Stood
Still
, All-Flash #1 (CGC 7.) brought $4,230 and a copy of
Detective #31 CGC 8.0 restored went for $5,130.

Golden, Silver and
Books Age books were strong across the board. As England’s premiere auction
site, they also offered significant books from their own country’s strong
publishing history. Perennially popular characters such as Beano and
Dandy were represented.
