Superhero Book: The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Comic-Book Icons and Hollywood
Heroes (one of our top picks for books about comics last year) has teamed up
with Michael Eury, editor of Back Issue (a perennial on our list of best
publications about comics) for The Supervillain Book: The Evil Side of Comics
and Hollywood, which has just been released by Visible Ink
Press.

Like its predecessor, it’s got fun sensibility to it, making it a
great research tool or just some plain fun reading. There’s also a foreword by
Stan Lee, who clearly loved the book, too. Contributors to the book include Mike
W. Barr (Camelot 3000, Maze Agency), Heidi MacDonald (The Beat),
Andy Mangels (Star Wars: Boba Fett), Peter Sanderson (Marvel
Universe), and our own J.C. Vaughn, among others. Madman creator Mike
