AtlantiqueCity Celebrity Appraisal Panel
If after rummaging through your closet, inheriting from your grandmother, or working through your list of collectibles and antiques, you find yourself questioning their value, bring them to AtlantiqueCity.
The show, AtlantiqueCity: Always in Style, running October 20-21, 2007, will have at least eight guest and celebrity appraisers. The appraisal booth will also include videotaping of featured items, a live audience, and an emcee moving through the crowd. Specialists will offer appraisals in fine jewelry, textiles, glass, autographs, books, maps, and more.
The guest and celebrity appraisers include: Kyle Husfloen, who is in his 36th year with Antique Trader as editor, author, and antique expert; Alan “Mr. Mint” Rosen, specialist in mint condition baseball cards and toy robots from the 1950s and 1960s; Caroline Ashleigh, expert in pop culture, animation, textiles, and celebrity memorabilia; Carolyn Remmey of Remmey Antiques and Fine Art with a specialty in glass, pop culture, toys, and New Jersey memorabilia; Ellen Schroy, editor of 23 consecutive editions of Warman’s Antiques and Collectibles Price Guide and regular contributor to Antique Trader
Items from any category are open for appraisal from 12 pm to 4 pm both days. Only one item can be appraised for free with a $10 charge for following appraisals. The appraisers will not be assigning value to items purchased at the show. The appraisal booth will be near the Antique Trader Marketplace.
Along with appraising, Caroline Ashleigh will show a great collection of rare antique and vintage cowboy hats. This collection contains hats signed by Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Elvis Presley, Clark Gable, and more.
There will also be a vintage fashion show. Cathie DiGrazia, owner of The Dressing Room vintage fashion shop, is the chief organizer of the show, which will take place at 1:30 pm daily during the Atlantique City Antiques and Collectibles Show.
Enjoy the shows, collections, and get those antiques appraised at AtlantiqueCity: Always in Style. For more information, check out AtlantiqueCity’s website.
