The ball that Barry Bonds hit to break Hank Aaron’s home run record will be sent to the Baseball Hall of Fame branded with an asterisk. The ball was recently purchased by fashion designer Mark Ecko for $752,467 during an on-line auction.

After the sale, Ecko set up a website where fans could vote on the fate of the ball. He offered them three choices, A) Send the ball to Cooperstown without a mark. B) Put an asterisk on the ball to denote that the record has some qualifying aspects to it, or C) send it straight into space.
