ComicLink Auction is Ending: Vintage Comics and Original Comic Art
ComicLink’s Featured Focused Auction containing over 1800 lots is quickly coming to a close. The original art segment of the auction will close Monday, February 18, 2008, then the vintage comic book group ends Tuesday, February 19 through Thursday, February 21.
Over 1500 CGC graded comics are in the auction, as well as other books professionally graded by ComicLink and 200 lots of original comic art. Golden Age comic book lots include top condition mega keys, Captain America Comics #1 CGC 9.0, rarely seen Detective issues, and pedigree examples from the Gaines File and Mile High collections. Silver and Bronze Age comics include the impressive and rare CGC 9.0 Amazing Fantasy #15, the rare Atom #1 CGC 9.4, Iron Man #1 CGC 9.4, and Wolverine’s first appearance in Incredible Hulk #181 CGC 9.6.
Comic art is also well covered. Original comic art lots include works from the Charles Biro Estate, Archie Sunday and Daily pages, an Atlas horror Russ Heath cover from the Mystic title, and a rare Golden Age Atlas Sub-Mariner splash page. Silver Age art lots feature early works by Steve Ditko and Jack Kriby originals from Amazing Spider-Man and Incredible Hulk and Bronze and Modern Age art of Starlin, Wrightson, and Cochrum are for sale.
