Last Call for ComicConnect Event Auction Consignments
Thursday, February 21, 2008 is the submission deadline for ComicConnect.com members to list their comics online for inclusion in the February 24 – March 8-9, 2008 Event Auction.
ComicConnect.com is the online marketplace for comic buyers and sellers, focusing on comic books published between 1930-1975. Membership is free, and members may list their comics for auction or sale at no upfront cost. ComicConnect.com brokers transactions, and accepts a low 10% commission only after comics are sold through the site.
The ComicConnect Event Auction already contains over 600 rare vintage comic books, including two copies of Detective Comics #27, Marvel Comics #1, Superman #1, Amazing Fantasy #15, Flash Comics #1, Tales of Suspense #39, and many more. Numerous pedigrees are represented in the Event Auction, including the Mile High Edgar Church, Northland, Crowley, Pennsylvania, Gaines File Copies, Boston, Nova Scotia, Twilight, Diamond Run, and Twilight collections. Among the listings are numerous "highest graded copies" known to exist (by CGC census), first appearances, origins, and beautiful high-grade copies of issues drawn by artists such as Frank Frazetta, Alex Schomburg, Lou Fine, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, John Romita Sr., and Neal Adams.
