Amazing Results in ComicLink Auction
Amazing Spider-Man comic books and original art led the way in the recently concluded ComicLink auction. A copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 in CGC 9.0 realized $139,000, a new world record for that book in 9.0. A Steve Ditko panel page from Amazing Spider-Man #18 sold for $30,000, an Amazing Spider-Man #10 page brought $21,500, and a Kirby/Ditko panel page from Amazing Spider-Man #8 closed at $25,000. Another strong comic book sale was the Kansas City pedigree copy of Captain America Comics #1 CGC certified 9.0, which realized $150,000, a new record in grade.
Record results were also seen in relation to the Incredible Hulk and the Fantastic Four. A Steve Ditko page from Incredible Hulk #6 sold for $22,000, and a copy of Incredible Hulk #1 CGC certified 6.5 achieved a new record price, in grade of $7,250. Not to be out done, Fantastic Four original art and comic books in the auction also saw strong results. A panel page from Fantastic Four #28 sold for $14,250, Fantastic Four #45 CGC certified 9.4 from the Green River pedigree collection brought $3,069, and Fantastic Four #55 CGC certified 9.4 closed at $3,979, all were record results.
