Kellogg’s Premiums and Cereal Fun

Kelloggs is currently offering limited edition and special character covers on the boxes of their popular cereals. Jumping off the shelf with vibrant color are two limited edition boxes for Barbie cereal. One box shows an active Barbie in athletic wear sporting a tennis racket. The back panel of the box includes cards in which Barbie “shares her fab tips!” with you. Six cards feature Barbie in fashionable attire, being active, with friends, at work, and more girl-friendly card tips. Another Barbie cereal limited edition box depicts Barbie and her friend Nikki enjoying time together. The back of the box showcases fun Barbie games and premiums. There’s a personality quiz, a photo frame, Barbie keepsakes, and a Barbie and friends match-up game.

Kellogg’s has the boxes for boys too. What could a young man want more than a stinky, slimy ogre on his cereal box? Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats has everyone’s favorite green guy, Shrek, on their box. One shows Shrek peeking from the bottom of the box and a Shrek bowl available through a mail-in offer. Details on the back of the box, along with a picture of Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots, instruct that all you have to do is send five Shrek Tokens to the address labeled on the inside of the box. Another Frosted Mini-Wheats box depicts Shrek with his new crown as the king of Far, Far Away. The premium on this box is a free Shrek hat, also available by sending five tokens. The back panel shows Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots in an ogre-sized hug. Directions for the free Shrek knit hat are written alongside an image of the hat and the submission address is labeled on the inside of the box.
