One of the most popular stars of the adventure serials of the 1930s was Larry “Buster” Crabbe. First gaining fame as an Olympic swimmer, Crabbe won a bronze medal in 1928 and a gold medal in 1932. He launched his film career in the title role of the 1933 movie serial Tarzan the Fearless, and went on to star in over 100 movies over the span of his career. But the role for which he is most fondly remembered is that of Alex Raymond’s science fiction action hero Flash Gordon. While he played the character in only 3 serials in 1936, 1938, and 1940, their heavy television showings in the ‘50s and early ‘60s etched his portrayal firmly in the minds of countless kids who grew up during that time.

Coming soon from Go Hero is the Larry "Buster" Crabbe as Flash Gordon 1:6 Scale Figure. Inspired by the beloved actor’s iconic image as the spacefaring hero, the figure will include a number of universe conquering accessories. Garbed in his lightning bolt emblazoned shirt, studded collar, boots and cape, Flash will be equipped with 2 sets of interchangeable hands, a diecast sword and sheath, and a diecast Ray Gun pistol and rifle. Also included will be a diecast miniature replica of Doctor Hans Zarkov’s rocket ship, which transported Flash, his girlfriend Dale Arden, and Doctor Zarkov on their interplanetary adventures.
