Harvey File Copies in Heritage Comic Auction
High grade Harvey File Copies featuring Richie Rich, Hot Stuff, Stumbo, Little Dot, Little Lotta, and Little Audrey are just a few of the lots listed in the current Heritage Weekly Internet Comic Auction. Other highlights in the event include over 150 pieces of original comic art, books from all ages of comic collecting, Hollywood memorabilia, books and animation art. In all there are over 800 lots listed at Heritage http://comics.ha.com/. The auction is scheduled to begin closing on Sunday, September 7, 2008.
Silver Age books are especially strong this week. Among the over 250 Silver Age lots listed are an early run of The Amazing Spider-Man, including a good looking copy of #16 featuring Spidey battling a yellow-costumed Daredevil, a good group of Dr. Strange issues from between 1968-1993 and a CGC-certified 7.0 copy of Showcase #64 featuring The Spectre as drawn by Murphy Anderson.
Golden Age science fiction is represented by Weird Science and Weird Science Fantasy from EC and the titles Planet, Mystery in Space, and Jet Powers. In the original art listings, the auction holds original dailies from the titles Smitty, Kerry Drake, Conan the Barbarian, Tiger by the late, great Bud Blake, Buzz Sawyer and Steve Canyon by Milton Caniff.
